Celebrating 160 Years in Banking
In 1863 a group of thoughtful citizens realized the need for a financial institution in the newly formed, growing community of Fort Atkinson, so they organized a bank for citizens to deposit and borrow money and they called it The First National Bank of Fort Atkinson.
Both our bank and town have grown up together, enduring tumultuous times in American history, emerging through each era an even stronger resource to serve the population with financial services. This allowed us to expand to nearby communities and counties. As time went on, to more accurately reflect the broad range of services available to customers, and our growing geographic footprint, the name of our bank was changed to PremierBank. Since our original founding, we have expanded to serve three counties in south-central Wisconsin.
For 160 years PremierBank has been a community partner, financial resource, and important leader in helping individuals, families, and businesses in our communities save money and fulfill their dream of home and business ownership. PremierBank is one of the oldest financial institutions in the nation and has long been highly regarded for its safe and sound financial position. We look back on our history with pride and aim to use the legacy of those who came before us to help build an even better future for the residents and businesses in the diverse communities we serve.
PremierBank has been here for generations and we expect to serve you for generations to come!
Special Events Planned During
Our 160th Anniversary Year
We have some special events planned throughout the year to celebrate this milestone year! We hope you will join us.
160 Gifts and Acts of Kindness
Throughout the year we will be making financial contributions and investing in our communities with volunteerism above and beyond our traditional philanthropic endeavors as a special way to support and acknowledge the communities we serve.
This year, to commemorate our anniversary, our team has been tasked with the exciting opportunity to work together on a unique initiative to collaboratively develop a plan to make 160 Gifts and Acts of Kindness through volunteerism, donations, community fundraisers, and financial education outreach. These efforts will be highlighted on our social media channels.
Additionally, the activities we plan for 2023 Community Banking Month, and “Power of Community Banking Week” be intentionally centered around our #160GiftsandActsofKindness.
