April is Community Banking Month

Community Banking Month 2024

April's Community Banking Month is HERE — this month is historically a time when community banks across the nation celebrate their independent spirit and unwavering commitment in helping consumers and small businesses achieve their financial goals to create communities of prosperity.

How do Community Banks Keep Local Economies Healthy?
The money you put into a community bank stays in your community. Community banks are defined by their focus on the geographic areas they call home. In contrast to larger financial institutions, the money you keep with a community bank remains in that community.

That means your money stays local via loans to neighborhood small businesses and sponsorships of community initiatives. Banking with a community bank is the financial equivalent of shopping locally.

Community banks also create jobs employing bankers at more than 52,000 locations across the nation.

As PremierBank celebrates #CommunityBankingMonth, we're highlighting our efforts to make our communities better, and we aim to showcase our partnership with YOU, our friends, neighbors, and customers.

2024 Community Banking Month Events and Activities

PremierBank has a rich history of investing in the communities we serve. Although we do this all year long, during Community Banking Month, we enjoy a concentrated time of giving, volunteering, and showcasing all of the ways small, locally-owned banks like ours make an impact and support the local businesses and residents in our communities.

Below find some of the ways PremierBank plans to celebrate Community Banking Month in 2024.

Donations for our Local Food Pantries

Each PremierBank location will be holding a food drive all month long for our friends and neighbors in need.

Additionally, during April, our bankers will be participating in "Casual for a Cause" Fridays with money collected going to our local food banks. Curious George
